I can tell you that from my personal experience and point of view, the problem is that we have parties involved that view the process in different terms. Process is everything. Saying &amp;quot;Israel&amp;quot; does not really represent the mediation talent and methods availalbe from there. That is because Palistiians are often not viewed as having a voice. The Sulha peace project involves both Palistinians and Jews and they utilizie &amp;quot;Sulha&amp;quot; for mediation. Syria would probably be quit receptive to this approach. However, the &amp;quot;Jewish&amp;quot; leadership(and westerners) often view a peace process or dialogue within a legal framework that is rather &amp;quot;COLD&amp;quot; where &amp;quot;negative leverage&amp;quot; undermines equitability of the participants.&lt;br /&gt;-Just my opinion.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/8708068821300687087/1937541068798975481/comments/default/8239917054087681479'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/8708068821300687087/1937541068798975481/comments/default/8239917054087681479'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.mediate-la.com/2009/11/word-play.html?showComment=1258580288791#c8239917054087681479' title=''/><author><name>Maureen Dabbagh</name><uri>http://www.dabbaghandassociates.net</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img1.blogblog.com/img/blank.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.mediate-la.com/2009/11/word-play.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8708068821300687087.post-1937541068798975481' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/8708068821300687087/posts/default/1937541068798975481' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-400451524'/></entry></feed>
